Ponta da Piedade

Ponta da Piedade is a group of rock formations along the coastline of the town of Lagos, in the Algarve. Consisting of yellow-golden cliff like rocks up to 20 meters high, they are one of the most famous touristic attractions of Portugal. Several grottos in Ponta da Piedade can be visited by boat.

The Black Rock (portuguese name Rocha Negra) of Praia da Luz it is a rock formation of volcanic origin in the middle of others of limestone composition.

And proof of volcanic activity in Portugal for over 70 million years.

Sunday morning

The Ponta da Piedade is considered one of the most beautiful places in the whole Algarve region.

It is the perfect place to watch the sunrise and sunsets.
