Hello my Summer!!!

Today begins the summer in the northern hemisphere, is the longest day of the year.

The summer solstice is the time when the sun reaches the highest declination in latitude, measured from the equator in June in the northern hemisphere, and in December in the southern hemisphere.

Bath 29

Every year on the night of August 29 groups of people assemble on the Algarve seafront to

celebrate the tradition of Banho 29 (portuguese name).

There are those who believe it to a legend that the devil walks free on the day of August 29

and only at night-time is it safe to bathe in the sea.

Ponta da Piedade

Ponta da Piedade is a group of rock formations along the coastline of the town of Lagos, in the Algarve. Consisting of yellow-golden cliff like rocks up to 20 meters high, they are one of the most famous touristic attractions of Portugal. Several grottos in Ponta da Piedade can be visited by boat.

Black Rock

The Black Rock (portuguese name Rocha Negra) of Praia da Luz it is a rock formation of volcanic origin in the middle of others of limestone composition.

And proof of volcanic activity in Portugal for over 70 million years.
